Body Types

Physical development occurs through many stages of your life from birth all the way to death. However, I will be focusing adolescent development dealing with body somatotypes. There are three of these body types which where depicted through the research studies of William Sheldon. The three body types are ectomorph, mesomorph, endomorph.

This connects to my physical development because growing up I was that endomorph kid. I had trouble losing weight and always eat a lot. I didn’t at first see anything wrong with my shape because nobody talked about it but when I got older more people began to make fun of me and it really took a toll on me mentally. I began to doubt myself and how I was just because of what people said and it made me do things like wear bigger clothes and try to avoid PE and things like that because I didn’t want to be viewed as the weaker or out of shape person. As I got older towards my 11th grade year I began to work out and my appearance began to change. This experience not only helped me physically but mentally as I learned who my real friends where and who to hang around. The ones who never talked about me and accepted me for who I was where always there, and I made sure to keep them in my life and not the ones who decided to befriend me because of change. As well my experience allowed me to love people for who they are and not what they look like because personality outweighs appearance all the time.

Ectomorph

Ectomorph body types are thin and frail. They have a hard time putting on muscles. Ectomoprhs have a fast metabolism  as well as good at processing carbs leading to them burning off fat easily. However they struggle to bulk up because there fast-twitch fibers are underdeveloped. To become more muscular, you need to keep cardio sessions to a minimum and focus on intense   workouts  using   compound    exercises to maximise growth hormone release.

Endomorph

The endomorph body type which have a softer and rounder body type who and they have trouble losing weight. The endomorph is the hardest body type to have in terms of managing your weight and overall fitness, but to get a more balanced physique, you should focus on developing your shoulders and stripping away excess fat from your lower body.

Mesomorph

The mesomorph body type which is the hard and muscular build. The tend to have broader shoulders and hips. edit me. It's easy. Mesomorphs tend to take their naturally athletic builds for granted, which can result in diluted workouts and poor diets. Keeping in peak physical condition is often tempered by a scattered approach to eating and training.
